Dhaka Bank was incorporated as a Public Limited Company on April 6, 1995 under Companies Act, 1994. The company commenced banking operations on July 5, 1995.It got listed in DSE and CSE in 2000.

Prime Finance & Investment Limited was incorporated in Bangladesh in March 1996, as a public limited company under the Companies Act 1994. Prime Finance started its operation in the year 1996, obtaining license from Bangladesh Bank under the Financial Institutions Act, 1993. Prime Finance also obtained license from the Bangladesh Securities & Exchange Commission (BSEC) in July 1999, to operate in the capital market as a full-fledged Merchant Bank. In 2010 Prime Finance formed a subsidiary company namely Prime Finance Capital Management Limited for its Merchant Banking operations. The Company got listing with the Dhaka and Chittagong Stock Exchanges in 2005.
